Hyundai launched the Hyundai Tucson Sport in South Africa last month. Next, the Hyundai Creta will receive the Sport treatment in Brazil this year. IAB's automotive illustrator Shoeb Kalania has created a rendering of the Hyundai Creta Sport to show what to expect on the variant's styling front.
Up front, the Hyundai Creta Sport seen in the rendering gets a dark grey upper grille, black lower grille with a light grey horizontal bar and modified bumper with faux air vents. On the sides, the pillars are painted in black, the ORVMs get light grey colour on the upper portion and gloss black on the lower portion, chrome trim on the rocker panels, "Sport" branding on the C-pillar, unique alloy wheels and red brake callipers. On the inside, one can expect leather upholstery and maybe gloss black inserts, but not any major changes.
The Brazilian-spec Hyundai Creta is offered with 1.6-litre Dual CVVT and 2.0-litre Dual CVVT flex-fuel engines. The 1.6-litre engine produces up to 166 cv (166 hp) and 20.5 kgf.m (201.04 Nm). The 2.0-litre engine develops up to 130 cv (130 hp) and 16.5 kgf.m (161.81 Nm) of torque. The Hyundai Tucson Sport has a more powerful engine than the standard variant. The Creta Sport, however, reportedly gets the stock 2.0-litre engine, with a 6-speed automatic transmission.

After the Hyundai Creta Sport, Brazilian media reports suggest that Hyundai could launch a more off-road styled Hyundai Creta X. There are rumours of a Hyundai Creta Turbo powered by the 1.6L T-GDi engine too. However, some reports have said that the company has no plans to offer the turbocharged petrol engine in Brazil.
