Next generation Dacia Duster seen testing ahead of its expected 12 September world premiere.

The second generation Dacia Duster/Renault Duster has been spotted testing once again wearing dense camouflage. The video was captured in Spain by PhocarMedia Youtube channel.

Designers seem to have adopted an evolutionary approach with a profile similar to the model it will replace. From the looks of it, the 2018 Dacia Duster will get sleeker headlamps with LED DRLs sitting on either side of a Lodgy Stepway like Jewel-Studded front grille. The SUV will continue with beefy wheel arches and roof rails. Base variants will sport steel wheels, while higher end trims will feature black alloy wheels.

According to a report that emerged in June 2017, the Duster will grow in size with the overall length increasing to 4.4 metres. However, it will remain a strict five-seater, at least for the European market. A longer seven-seat version is rumoured to arrive later in 2018. While some reports say the CMF platform is the basis of the new Duster, others say it is based on the same B0 platform as the current Duster to ensure starting prices remain under £10,000 in the UK. It will be offered with a range of four-cylinder petrol and diesel engine options along with optional AWD setup.

Dacia will unveil the 2018 Duster at IAA 2017 which starts on 12 September with sales likely to commence in early 2018 in Europe. In India, the new generation model or its seven-seat version is not expected before 2019.
