The Philippines becomes the latest market to induct the Yamaha R15 v3.0 as Indian launch details remain sketchy.
The Yamaha R15 v3.0 is the third-generation model of the entry-level sports motorcycle. The bike has gained several functional cosmetic changes along with several mechanical upgrades and a new VVA (Variable Valve Actuation) engine. The bike also gains a first in class slipper clutch.
Powering the Yamaha R15 v3.0 is a 155.1 cc single cylinder, SOHC, liquid cooled, fuel injected mill coupled to a 6-speed gearbox. The engine is capable of producing 19.31 PS of maximum power at 10,000 rpm and 14.7 Nm of peak torque at 8,500 rpm. The Yamaha R15 v3.0 tips the scales at 137 kg and get a 11-litre fuel tank.
The Yamaha R15 v3.0 has a ground clearance of 155 mm and a seat height of 815 mm. It also gains wider 140-section rear tyre. Features include LED headlamps, LED taillamp, digital instrumentation (with shift light and gear position indicator), new aluminium swingarm, bigger 282 mm front disc, delta box frame and an upside down fork up front.

The Yamaha R15 v3.0 is available in three colour options and is priced at PHP 164,000 which is more expensive than its key rival Honda CBR150R (PHP 150,000).
