The company has listed the Kodiaq on their official website as 'coming soon'.
IAB learns that Skoda India has frozen the launch of the Skoda Octavia vRS and Skoda Kodiaq SUV for September. The company had already confirmed the two models for India but hadn't provided a timeframe of its arrival at showrooms. Even now, the Kodiaq is listed as 'coming soon' on the brand website.
Several dealerships seem to be collecting pre-orders for the Skoda Kodiaq and Octavia vRS unofficially, for deposits ranging between INR 20,000 – INR 51,000 (Kodiaq figures). The Kodiaq will be Skoda's first three-row SUV, measuring 4,697 mm in length, 1,882 mm in width, 1,676 mm in height, and having a wheelbase of 2,791 mm. It will also be Skoda's first 7-seater.
According to reports, the Kodiaq can be had with a 132 kW (180 PS) 2.0-litre TSI petrol, 110 kW (150 PS) 2.0-litre TDI diesel, or 140 kW 2.0-litre TDI diesel (190 PS) engine, paired with a 6-speed manual and 7-speed DSG automatic transmissions. An all-wheel drive system could be available in the top-end diesel variant.

The Octavia vRS will make a comeback in the facelifted avatar, featuring a sportier body kit, larger wheels with a sports suspension and dual exhaust tips. Unlike the Kodiaq and its regular siblings, the Octavia vRS will be imported via the CBU route. The model brought here is likely the vRS 230 version, which packs a 2.0-litre TSI petrol engine producing 169 kW (226.54 hp) and 350 Nm of torque, sent to the front wheels via a 6-speed manual gearbox or 6-speed DSG.
