The Bajaj Pulsar 150 café racer build can also be replicated on the Honda Unicorn 150 and TVS Apache 160.
Bengaluru-based motorcycle customiser, Gear Gear motorcycles, have customised an MY2001 Bajaj Pulsar (the Pulsar brand was first introduced in the same year) as a café racer.
The bare bones stance of the Bajaj Pulsar 150 café racer is enhanced with a new rear monoshock. The new rear suspension also helps raise the height of the motorcycle, allowing the bike have a higher seat height. Both the front and rear wheel hub have been worked on allowing the accommodation of a fatter tyre profile.
The custom Bajaj Pulsar 150 café racer also gets a modified chassis. The frame has been chopped off thereby reducing the wheelbase a bit. The exhaust canister is new while the fuel tank gets a mixture of decals. The bike also boasts of a handcrafted leather seat and the instrumentation console is new. The circular rear view mirrors adds a classic touch.
The 2001 Bajaj Pulsar had a 150 cc single cylinder, air-cooled mill producing 13 hp of maximum power. It got several premium features (which we now take for granted to be present even in the 110 cc segment) like front disc brake and an optional self-starter.
