The Yamaha Fazer 250 will harness power from the same quarter-litre 'Blue Core' mill.
The upcoming Yamaha Fazer 250 (Yamaha Fazer 25) has been rendered by our digital artist Shoeb Kalania. The design traces its origins to the Yamaha FZ 25 and borrows the rest from pictures of the faired motorcycle that emerged some days back.
Unlike the Yamaha Fazer 250 retailed in Brazil or the 150 cc Fazer retailed in India, the faired version of the Yamaha FZ 25 gets a complete fairing which though does not cover the cylinder and crankcase.
The air-cooled engine assisted by an oil-cooler will be retained on the variant. Yamaha claims that they have used lightweight forged aluminium piston and a plated cylinder for better heat dissipation. The powertrain produces 20.9 PS maximum power and 20 Nm peak torque.

Other features of the Fazer 250 will include LED headlamp, disc brakes at both ends, 140/70 section rear tyre and LED taillamp. The naked Yamaha FZ 25 has a 14-litre fuel tank and tips the scales at 148 kg. The Yamaha Fazer 250 will be a few kilos heavier due to the fairing and slightly bigger handlebar.
The Yamaha FZ 25 has the price tag of INR 1.20 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi) and the Yamaha Fazer 250 is expected to be priced at a premium of INR 6,000 to INR 12,000.
