KTM is set to unveil the production model of the KTM 790 Duke at EICMA 2017.
A report in MotorBeam claims that KTM will not bring its big capacity machines to India. The KTM Duke 390 and KTM RC390 will continue as flagship models for the Austrian brand. KTM will also not manufacture Husqvarna motorcycles in India, as confirmed earlier, with just its components shipped from India to the Austrian factory.
Bajaj Auto's Chakan facility manufactures eight motorcycles (KTM Duke 125, KTM Duke 200, KTM Duke 250, KTM Duke 390, KTM RC125, KTM RC200, KTM RC250, KTM RC390) for 80 markets, and the plant is already at full capacity.

Mr Amit Nandi, Vice President, Probiking, Bajaj Auto, had hinted that Bajaj-KTM has no plans to introduce big engine KTM machines in India for now. KTM in February launched the 2017 KTM Duke 390, which was first unveiled at EICMA 2016, along with the KTM Duke 250 and 2017 KTM Duke 200. The Indian plant is the global production hub of the low displacement KTMs, and the market itself is set to become the world's largest for the company.
The 2017 KTM 390 gained several upgrades including a larger fuel tank, LED headlamp, bigger 320 mm front disc, ride by wire and a bigger 13.4-litre fuel tank.
