Gets a 2-DIN audio system, steering-mounted audio controls and rear HVAC vents as standard.

Ahead of the 2017 Maruti Dzire’s launch on May 16, Maruti has dispatched the initial wave of stock to several dealerships, one of which has been photographed from various angles by Sundara Kannan. The model snapped is based on the mid-level Dzire V (Maruti Dzire VDi and Maruti Dzire VXi) grade.

The model pictured is the mid-level Maruti Dzire VDi grade.

The Dzire V grade comes with chrome garnish around the grille and bumper, ORVM-mounted blinkers, body coloured ORVM caps, multi-spoke wheel covers, regular headlamps, and LED-powered pilot lamps for taillights. It does not get rear parking sensors, LED headlamps with DRL or foglamps which are available on the top-end models.

Inside, the Dzire VXi and Dzire VDi are decently spec’d with features like 2-DIN audio system with Bluetooth, steering-mounted audio controls, rear HVAC vents, manual climate control, MID, and powered ORVM adjustment as standard. As you can see, the steering wheel does not get the faux wood garnish.

The new Dzire is confirmed to offer a 1.2L K12B petrol motor producing 84 hp and 115 Nm of torque, or the 1.3L DDiS turbodiesel motor with 75 hp and 190 Nm of torque. Both variants can be had with a 5-speed manual or 5-speed AMT, and are capable of averaging a fuel mileage of 22 kmpl and 28.40 kmpl respectively.
