Likely to come with a range of customisation options similar to the Renault Kwid.
Rushlane has uploaded a new set of spy shots featuring the upcoming Renault Captur SUV, which goes on sale in India this festive season. This will be the second SUV in Renault's product line, slotting above the Renault Duster.
A few of the new spy shots include a first look at the cabin of the India-spec Renault Captur which, like the model sold in Brazil, has a dual tone black and ivory dashboard, doors cards and seat upholstery. Interestingly, the model spied also has body-colored (bright orange in this instance) trim around the HVAC vents, and centre console, suggesting that the Captur could come with personalization packs similar to what's available for the Renault Kwid.
As seen in the photos, the Captur will have Renault's 7-inch MEDIANAV system, automatic climate control, chrome-ringed instrument binnacle with regular dials flanking a large MID, 3-spoke multifunction steering wheel, and large power-operated ORVMs. The exterior is still wrapped up, but will be the same as the Brazilian version, which measures 4,333 mm in length, 1,813 mm in width and 1,613 mm in height, and has a wheelbase measures 2,673 mm.
The Indian spec Renault Captur will be based on the Renault Duster, rather than the Renault Clio, so expect engine options to include the 1.5-litre dCi four cylinder diesel mill with 110 PS and 245 Nm, and a 1.6-litre petrol producing 104 PS of power and 148 Nm torque. A 6-speed manual could be standard, while the Duster’s Easy-R AMT could be either be dropped or work alongside Renault's EDC automatic gearbox to better suit its premium positioning. Expect the mileage to match the Duster's 19.72 km/L figure (110 PS diesel) and 13.06 km/L (1.6 petrol).
The Renault Captur will launch for sale this festive season with prices expected to range between INR 10 Lakhs - INR 13 Lakhs (ex-showroom).
