Is not the same the Brazilian model.

The 2018 Hyundai ix25 has leaked in undisguised spy shots captured in China, courtesy autohome.com.cn. The facelifted Hyundai ix25 previews the facelifted Hyundai Creta expected to arrive in India next year.

The facelifted Hyundai ix25 features a unique front-end with only a few touches common with the Brazilian-spec Hyundai Creta.

The 2018 Hyundai Creta (2018 Hyundai ix25) does not get major exterior changes with the facelift in China, but the headline is that the styling is not the same as the Brazilian design. The radiator grille's more angular shape is similar to that of the 2017 Hyundai Verna, and it has more spacing between the slats now. Also new at the front, is a more aggressive bumper and reshaped fog lamp housing with horizontal lamps. At the rear, the tweaked taillamps look same as those on the Brazilian-spec Creta but are subtly different. The restyled bumper houses reshaped stop lamps.

The spy shots have not revealed the 2018 Hyundai Creta's interior. The B-SUV should go through the usual drill of new trim and upholstery, upgraded tech and some equipment revisions for the grades.

The Hyundai Creta is available in China with 91.6 kW (122.79 hp) 1.6-litre Gamma naturally aspirated, 118 kW (158.18 hp) 2.0-litre Nu and 117.7 kW (157.77 hp) 1.6-litre Gamma turbocharged petrol engines. 6-soeed manual, 6-speed automatic and 7-speed dual-clutch automatic are the transmission choices. Four-wheel drive option is available only in the 2.0-litre engine model. No changes are expected in these aspects on the 2018 model.

In India, Hyundai could introduce a mild-hybrid tech with the mid-cycle update, while keeping the current powertrain options when it reaches the market sometime next year.
