The Yamaha R15 v3.0 is the most expensive product in the segment.
A new image released by Iwanbanaran reveals the presence of the Yamaha R15 v3.0 at a dealership in Semarang, Indonesia. The bike in the port city is being retailed at IDR 35.9 million which is more than the retail price tag of the bike in Jakarta.
The Yamaha R15 v3.0 gets upside down forks up front and a link type monoshock in the rear. The deltabox frame houses a new 155.1 cc VVA, liquid-cooled mill which traces its origins to the Yamaha Aerox 155. The engine is capable of 19.31 PS of maximum power and 14.7 Nm of peak torque.
The bike gets a new aluminium swingarm and a wide 282 mm diameter front disc. The fully digital instrumentation gets a shift light and gear position indicator. The entry level sports bike also gets LED headlamp & taillamp, slipper clutch, hazard lamp and the familiar, aggressive R-series design philosophy.
Yamaha also claims that the 2017 Yamaha R15 v3.0's engine gets forged piston and diasil cylinder which is said to be three times more durable, stronger and lighter. Colour options include Racing Blue, Matte Red and Matte Black.
Bookings for the Yamaha R15 v3.0 began on April 1, 2017.
