Thus, the TVS Akula 310 would launch before the BMW G310R. The Akula 310 borrows the powertrain from the German roadster which is now expected to be introduced in the second half of 2017. The adventure tourer version, the BMW G310GS, now can be expected not before 2018.
The 313 cc mill, in the BMW G310R produces 34 PS of maximum power and 28 Nm of peak torque and the TVS Akula 310 may be in a slightly lesser tune favouring fuel efficiency. The carbon fibre body parts from the concept will not make it into the production model, but the vertically mounted instrumentation will be retained.
