Ahead of its national launch on May 16, Maruti-Suzuki have unveiled the all new 2017 Maruti Dzire to select media today. Here's our brief walkaround of the new Dzire from the showfloor.

The new Maruti Dzire (3rd gen) features an evolutionary design that looks more proportionate than the outgoing car, as well as more premium and contemporary with liquid metal flowing lines, dual tone alloy wheels and chrome embellishers, LED headlamps and taillamps, and LED DRLs. It 3,995 mm long, 1,735 mm wide, 1,515 mm high, is claimed to offer a large wheelbase and has a ground clearance of 163 mm.
The interior features an all new dashboard that houses the 7 inch Smartplay touchscreen with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and Mirrorlink, flat-bottom steering wheel with mounted buttons, faux wood garnish and a new instrument binnacle with a larger multi-info display flanked by new instrument dials. Also new in the Dzire is a rear AC vent and increased legroom for rear occupants. Boot capacity is rated at 376L.

At launch, Engine options available include 1.3L DDiS 190 4-cyl diesel engine paired with a 5-speed manual or 5-speed AGS (AMT), as well as a 1.2L 4-cyl K12B petrol engine paired with a 5-speed manual and for the first time, a 5-speed AGS (AMT).
