The Yamaha R15 v3.0 was unveiled in January 2017.
A report in BikeAdvice reveals that Bangladesh is set to get the Yamaha R15 v3.0 by end April 2017. A dealership has been accepting orders unofficially for BDT 150,000. However, it appears that Yamaha Bangladesh is not going to officially bring the bike to Bangladesh anytime soon.
The Yamaha R15 v3.0 is powered by a new 155.1 cc single cylinder, SOHC, liquid cooled, fuel injected mill which is coupled to a 6-speed gearbox and an assist and slipper clutch. The engine is capable of producing 19.31 PS of maximum power at 10,000 rpm and 14.7 Nm of peak torque at 8,500 rpm.

The bike also gets Variable Valve Actuation (VVA) which will help the Yamaha R15 v3.0 produce ideal amount of power across the rev range. Yamaha Bangladesh imports motorcycles from India so it appears that the dealer is importing the motorcycles from Indonesia where the bike is to be manufactured for the South East Asian market.
The Yamaha R15 v3.0 tips the scales at 137 kg which puts it just a kilo heavier than the outgoing motorcycle. An official confirmation about the Indian launch is still awaited from Yamaha India.
The dealership goes on to claim that the Yamaha R15 v3.0 is priced in Bangladesh at BDT 550,000 which is BDT 70,000 more than the R15 v2.0 retailed there.
