Bajaj wants to produce multiple motorcycles based on the Bajaj Dominar 400 platform.
The Bajaj Dominar 400 was launched back in December 2015 and may soon emerge in the form of a Scrambler, reveals a report in Bikewale.
Days before, Mr Rajiv Bajaj, Managing Director, Bajaj Auto, confirmed that they are aiming to bring out more and more premium products in the next 2-3 months. He, however, added that the new products may be introduced under the Dominar 400, KTM or even a new badge.
The report adds that the Scrambler may be under a new brand and Bajaj Auto is busy getting its marketing plan in place. Bajaj has been known to spawn multiple motorcycles based on an engine and platform combo. The Bajaj Pulsar 200NS and Bajaj Pulsar AS200 being prime examples.

The Bajaj Dominar 400 is powered by a 373.3 cc mill which is coupled to a 6-speed gearbox. The engine traces its origins to the KTM Duke 390 and is capable of producing 35 PS of maximum power and 35 Nm of peak torque. Features like slipper clutch, LED headlamp and a large 320 mm front disc (and 230 mm unit in the rear), will no doubt be utilized on variants from its platform.
The Bajaj Dominar 400 has been priced at INR 136,001 for the disc brake version and INR 150,002 for the ABS trim (both prices ex-showroom, Delhi).
