Production running at full capacity.
Maruti Suzuki announced in January that the company has received over 2,00,00 bookings for the Maruti Vitara Brezza since the vehicle's launch last year. 90,000 units of the Maruti Vitara Brezza were delivered by January 2017 and the sub-compact SUV has a waiting period of up to 6-7 months.
Nearly 50,000 orders are yet to be delivered. Production is running at full capacity, but the demand is simply much higher than that. With the Baleno's production about to be relocated to Suzuki's wholly-owned Gujarat plant next month, the Vitara Brezza's production numbers could increase, though. With the increase in production, the company may finally roll out petrol and automatic variants of the vehicle.
The Maruti Vitara Brezza is currently available in only one single model: DDiS 200 MT. Under the hood, there's the familiar 1.3-litre four-cylinder diesel engine producing 66 kW (88.47 hp) at 4,000 rpm and 200 Nm of torque at 1,750 rpm. Drive is sent to the front wheels via a 5-speed manual transmission.
