Maruti Suzuki has updated the DLX edition of the Swift to include a driver's airbag and has priced the car at INR 4.8 Lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi) for the petrol variant. An ad for the same was posted in the newspaper, but not on Maruti's official website.
Other than the airbag, the variant carries over features that were available in the previous Swift DLX such as a music system with Bluetooth, USB and speakers, power windows for all doors, central locking, and blacked-out pillars. None of these features are available on the model it is based on, the Swift LXI grade.
The Maruti Swift DLX is powered by the 1.2-liter K-Series petrol engine paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox, which is capable of producing 84.3 PS and 114 Nm of torque. It can average a fuel economy of 20.4 km/L.
This year expect more special editions on the current Swift twins as Maruti is preparing to make way for the next generation Swift Dzire and Swift hatchback, which are models developed from the ground up. The Swift Dzire will arrive first - rumoured to launch in May - and the Maruti Swift hatchback is expected to break cover this festive season.
