Based on the entry-level variant.
Maruti-Suzuki have launched the Maruti Swift DLX edition, based on the entry-level LXi/LDi variants of the hatchback. Priced at INR 4.54 lakhs, ex-Showroom for petrol, the Swift DLX adds a few extra features over the LXi/LDi variants.
A music system with Bluetooth, USB and speakers, power windows for all doors, central locking, foglights and blacked-out pillars are some of the feature additions on the DLX variant. There are no further changes to the Swift DLX edition.
It continues to be powered by the 1.2-liter K-Series petrol engine capable of 84.3 PS and a fuel efficiency of 20.4 km/l. The diesel Swift gets the 1.3-liter DDiS engine capable of 75 PS and a fuel efficiency of 25.2 km/l. Both engines are available only with a 5-speed manual transmission.
The Swift, in recent months, has seen a dip in its sales numbers as buyers are preferring the premium Maruti Baleno. Using the same engines as the Swift, the Baleno has seen over 100,000 bookings and still accounts for a waiting period of 4-6 months.
