Ducati India’s last major launch was the power cruiser Ducati XDiavel.
The Italian bike maker Ducati plans to launch five new products in India this year. Their market share in India has grown from 6.4 percent to 7.7 percent. Total sales ever since Ducati made a comeback to the Indian market amounts to 1,000 units.
The year 2016 saw Ducati’s global sales hit 55,451 units which was 1.2 percent higher than their 2015 performance. Their commitment to the Indian market is further confirmed with the plan to expand their dealership network to 10 touch points from the 5 operational ones at present.

Our growth has confirmed Ducati’s ability to excite the Indian market. In 2017 we will have a robust network of ten dealerships across the country. The Ducatisti community is also growing with three Desmo Owners Clubs operational and two more in the pipeline. We’re looking forward to a great 2017 for Ducati.
The year 2016 amounted to a total of 580 motorcycles delivered in India. The Ducati Diavel Dark and Ducati Diavel Carbon account for 17 percent of the total number. The Ducati Monster represented 19 percent of the sales. Launched in July 2016, the Ducati 959 Panigale accounted for 12 percent of the total sales.
The adventure touring category with displacement higher than 1000 cc grew by 127 percent in 2016 with the Ducati Multistrada 1200 registering an 89 percent share of the category.
New models for the year 2017 may include the Ducati Scrambler Desert Sled, Scrambler Cafe Racer, Ducati Monster 797, Ducati Multistrada 950.
