Will arrive in H2 2017.

The global-spec fourth-gen Suzuki Swift is set to have its world debut at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show and will be followed by its performance Sport variant in the second half of the year. X-Tomi Design has created a rendering of the next-gen Swift Sport.

The next-gen Suzuki Swift Sport is under consideration for India, two reports said last year.

The new generation Suzuki Swift is 3,840 mm-long, 1,695 mm-wide and 1,500 mm/1,525 mm-tall. Its Sport variant should sit a little lower and could be slightly longer and wider due to the body kit. The performance will have a modified chassis, stiffer suspension, grippier low-profile tyres and lighter wheels.

On the outside, the 2018 Swift Sport will likely have unique radiator grille, bigger air intakes, lip spoiler, side skirts, more pronounced wheel arches, rear diffuser, dual exhaust outlets and a sportier rear spoiler. The interior should have a black theme and be given a distinctive appeal with unique coloured stitching, more chrome inserts and/or aluminium-finish elements and considerable usage of leather.

The 2018 Suzuki Swift Sport will likely be powered by an upgraded version of the 1.4-litre BOOSTERJET turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine. In the Suzuki Vitara, this unit produces 103 kW (138.07 hp) and 220 Nm of torque.

The next-gen Swift Sport is being considered for India, but the more economical 1.0-litre BOOSTERJET turbocharged three-cylinder petrol engine could power it.
