The global version of the next generation Hyundai Verna has been spotted testing in Spain, courtesy of Motor1.
Although the test mule is wrapped in camouflage and black canvas to hide the exterior design, Hyundai unveiled the next generation Hyundai Verna at the Chengdu Motor Show in September, revealing the Fluidic Sculpture v2.0 inspired exterior design. The test mule appears to feature a hexagonal grille with horizontal chrome slats, new headlamps, and vertical wraparound taillamps. The front and rear-end of the car will see minor changes to adapt to the tastes of global customers.
In China, the next gen Verna is offered with a choice between an 100hp 1.4L and 123 hp 1.6L four-cylinder petrol engines from the previous Verna, paired with 6-speed manual and automatic transmissions. The India-spec Verna will additionally offer 1.4- and 1.6-litre diesel engines, and the latter could exclusively equipped with mild-hybrid tech to rival the Maruti Ciaz SHVS.

The new Verna will be introduced in Russia as the next Hyundai Solaris, in markets like the U.S and Middle East as the 2018 Hyundai Accent, and in India in 2017, from where it will be exported globally.
