Despite the lineup of more powerful bikes, the Bajaj Pulsar 220 remains a crowd puller.

The Bajaj Pulsar 200NS was earlier silently discontinued (not officially) to give more room to the new Bajaj Pulsar AS200 and Bajaj Pulsar RS200. Car and Bike now reports that the Bajaj Pulsar 200NS will make a comeback in mid-January 2017 with a BSIV compliant mill.

The Bajaj Pulsar 200NS is said to make a comeback in January 2017 with cosmetic changes and BSIV compliant engine.

The Bajaj Pulsar 200NS will gain some styling updates which going by Bajaj’s track records can be limited to sticker and paint scheme changes. The engine might be limited to the present carburetted version. Bajaj also exports the Pulsar 200NS to its international markets which include Turkey, Russia and Dubai.

At the heart of the Bajaj Pulsar 200NS is a 199.5 cc liquid cooled, 4 valve, single cylinder triple spark mill sourced from the KTM Duke 200. Coupled with a six speed gearbox, the engine is capable of producing 23.52 PS of maximum power at 9,500 rpm and 18.3 Nm of peak torque at 8,000 rpm.

The bike is also reported to have a single-channel ABS as seen in the Bajaj Pulsar RS200. NDTV adds that the faired Pulsar RS200 will also be updated to meet BSIV emission norms by end-January 2017, and so would the Bajaj Pulsar 150 and AS series.
