JDM-spec Swift was revealed today.

Along with the first near-accurate render of the 2017 Maruti Swift, IAB's Shoeb R Kalania has also experimented with possible exterior colours that Maruti Suzuki could offer at the launch next year.

The Swift is rendered with six possible exterior colours which are similar to the options available in the current model. Additionally, Maruti is likely to induct the new Swift into its iCreate personalisation program, which offers user an array of options such as contrast roof, black wheels and body graphics to personalise the exterior. Currently, iCreate is only available for the Maruti Vitara Brezza.

The exterior is an evolutionary step forward of the current Swift's design, with cues borrowed from the Baleno and previous Swift. The JDM-spec Swift measures 3,840 mm long, 1,695 mm wide, 1,500 mm high and has a wheelbase of 2,450 mm.

Compared to the international-spec Swift, the 2017 Maruti Swift is likely to feature a higher ground clearance, softer suspension setup, thinner plastics and body panels, dual airbags instead of seven, no option of Safety package (Dual Camera Brake Support, Lane Assist, etc), an AMT unit instead of CVT in the 1.2 petrol automatic variant, no SHVS, no adaptive cruise control, rear drum brakes instead of discs, high profile tyres on not larger than 15-inch rims, basic upholstery and chrome body parts.

The 2017 Suzuki Swift was launched today in Japan.
