Facelift will also make its way to India-spec Honda City.
Honda Thailand has put up a micro site of the 2017 Honda City, ahead of its launch on January 12. The company has also released the first teasers that highlight the facelifted changes.
This makes it exactly three years since Honda launched the current City in Thailand. The facelift will also make its way to the India-spec Honda City which, according to reports, will launch in the same month. Judging by the teasers released, most of the changes will be concentrated up front, borrowing design cues from the new Honda Civic.
Top variants of the 2017 Honda City will feature LED headlamps with integrated DRLs, bold chrome garnish on the grille that flows directly into the headlamps, revised bumper with new fog lamps enclosures and intake, new alloy wheel designs and a new Cosmic Blue metallic color.
Engine options will remain untouched. The Honda City sold in ASEAN markets pack a 1.5L i-VTEC engine capable of producing 120 PS at 6,600 rpm and 145 Nm at 4,600 rpm. The base model will come equipped with a 5-speed manual gearbox, while rest of the variants get a CVT.
