The Bajaj Pulsar RS200 is Bajaj’s first fully faired motorcycle.
Bajaj Auto, apart from the Bajaj Pulsar 160NS and Bajaj Pulsar 200NS, also showcased the Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 at a private event in Turkey this week, in a new paint scheme.
At the heart of the motorcycle should be the same 199.5 cc single cylinder, liquid cooled, 4 valve, triple spark mill coupled to a 6 speed gearbox. The fuel injected engine is capable of producing 24.5 PS of maximum power at 9,750 rpm and 18.6 Nm of torque at 8,000 rpm. The 2017 Bajaj Pulsar RS200 is expected to be Euro4 compliant (and thus meet BSIV norms in India).
The Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 gets 300 mm disc up front with optional ABS and 230 mm unit in the rear. The unit showcased gets a generous dose of grey over black giving it a classy look. Unlike the excessive stickering in the red and yellow options, this one looks more sophisticated. Headlamps continue to be a twin projector setup.
The bike measures 1,999 mm in length, 765 mm in width and 1,114 mm in height. The Bajaj Pulsar RS200 tips the scales at 165 kg and has a ground clearance of 157 mm.
The 2017 Bajaj Pulsar RS200 is expected to be introduced in India in January 2017. A small price hike is expected but considering the price proximity to the newly launched Bajaj Dominar 400, Bajaj Auto might have a tough call to make.
