To arrive in showrooms in H2 2017.
IAB reader Abhishek Joshi has photographed the rear of a Tata Nexon test mule up close at night, revealing the taillamp glow pattern. Pre-production test mules continue fully camouflaged, despite the fact that it was revealed in production form at the Auto Expo 2016.
In the spyshot, the Nexon's taillamps have a U-shaped position strips powered by LEDs, while the stop lights are regular bulbs located in triangular sections of the taillamp. The lamps for lighting the registration plate area also seem to be powered by LEDs. Connecting the taillamps is a color-painted panel that contrasts with the exterior color in top-end variants.
Top-end Tata Nexon variants get projector headlights, a ceramic side finisher, contrast roof, 16-inch alloy wheels, LED daytime running lights, foglamps and gloss black finish for the wide grille. It draws from Tata's 'IMPACT' design language penned by current design chief Pratap Bose.

At launch, the sub-4m Tata Nexon will be available in petrol and diesel variants. The latter is confirmed to pack a 1.5L 4-cyl turbodiesel engine producing 110 PS and 260 Nm of torque, which would make it the most powerful sub-4m SUV in the segment, while the petrol variant is rumored to feature the Tiago’s 1.2-litre Revotron three-cylinder petrol engine, with turbocharging.
Expect the Nexon in showrooms after the Hexa, Kite5 and the Tiago AMT.
