Will be made by TVS Motor in India.
Motociclismo has posted these revealing images of the BMW F310 GS (BMW G310R-based adventure tourer) ahead of its reported debut at the EICMA 2016 in Milan, Italy, which starts on November 10.
As seen in the images, the BMW F310 GS (speculated name) borrows its design from its elder sibling, the BMW R 1200 GS, though it is based on the G310R. Even the design of the headlight is identical to the BMW G310R, which is expected to launch in India in the coming weeks.
The motorcycle is seen with newly-designed half-fairings, the 'GS' name engraved on the fuel tank, long-travel suspension with forks painted in a Golden shade, on/off-road tyres, a new engine cowl, and a redesigned rear with provision to mount one's luggage.
On the powertrain front, the BMW F310 GS will continue using the G310R's 313 cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine paired to a six-speed transmission. The fuel-injected engine produces 34 hp and 28 Nm of torque on the naked streetbike, and could be retuned for the adventure tourer.
Engineered by BMW, the BMW F310 GS will be made by TVS Motor in India at its Hosur facility. It will likely share assembly lines with the BMW G310R and the TVS Akula 310 (TVS's version of the G310R), and will primarily target the Royal Enfield Himalayan, which is priced at INR 1.56 lakhs, ex-Showroom, New Delhi.
