Will be launched internationally in H1 2017.

Along with the 2019 Jeep Grand Wagoneer, the 2018 Jeep Wrangler has been unofficially revealed from what is claimed as dealer presentation material. Originally published by Autoblog, leaked images give the first undisguised look at the fourth-gen model.

The next-gen Jeep Wrangler will be based on a new body-on-frame platform.

As expected, the fourth-gen Jeep Wrangler (Jeep Wrangler JL) features an evolution of the traditional front fascia which consists of round (LED) headlights and the seven-slot grille. Three trapezoidal wheel flares seem to have an LED signature, and the front bumper houses fog lamps in the same fashion as the current model. At the rear, the new LED tail lamps have X-shaped graphics.

The next-gen Jeep Wrangler will be based on a new body-on-frame platform which will also underpin its pickup version. With an aluminum-intensive construction, the all-new model will be lighter and more fuel-efficient. It will likely be offered with an improved version of the current model's 3.6-liter naturally aspirated V6 gasoline engine and a new 2.0-liter turocharged four-cylinder 'Hurricane' gasoline engine, paired with 6-speed manual and 8-speed automatic transmission choices. Mild-hybrid and diesel models will follow later, FCA has confirmed.
