Price slashed by over INR 2 Lakhs as the MY2017 model is locally assembled.
Suzuki Motorcycles announced that the first unit of the 2017 Suzuki Hayabusa has been delivered to a customer in Delhi, with more to follow in the coming weeks.
For the MY2017 model, Suzuki Motorcycles decided to locally assemble the Hayabusa superbike in India, which has helped slash the price by over INR 2 Lakhs. It now costs INR 13,57,135 (ex-showroom, Delhi), thus being slightly more affordable to enthusiasts looking to purchase the 300 km/h-capable superbike.
The Hayabusa is powered by a 1,340 cc four-cylinder liquid-cooled DOHC engine that has a compression ratio of 12.5:1 and produces 197 PS and 154 Nm, mated to a six-speed gearbox. It comes with an inverted telescopic fork with coil spring and oil damper, link type rear suspension also with coil spring and oil damper, twin disc brake upfront, single disc brake at the rear, 120/70ZR17M/C (58W) front tire and 190/50ZR17M/C (73W) rear tire.

Suzuki Motorcycles India also plans to assemble more superbikes and cruisers, so as to lure bike buyers from other international brands that have also started local assembly in India.
