Launch confirmed for November 3.
Twitter user Mr. Nishanth has snapped the 2017 Skoda Rapid at a dealer yard ahead of its launch on November 3. The 2017 Rapid seen here wears a Red body color, and appears to be the top-end model owing to the presence of projector headlights, foglights and alloy wheels.
Recent spyshots have revealed that the facelifted Rapid, will get a wider 'butterfly' grille flanked by angular headlamps with LED DRL, a new bumper design and larger foglamps. With these changes up front, the 2017 Rapid is similar to the Euro-spec Rapid. The rear end of the 2017 Rapid though continues unchanged.
Inside, the Rapid facelift will continue to offer a dual-tone black-and-beige cabin. Equipment wise, the range-topping 'Elegance' variant will feature a touchscreen entertainment system with the MirrorLink and Bluetooth support, GPS navigation and reverse camera. Dual airbags, ABS and EBD are likely to be standardized across the lineup.

Under the hood, the 2017 Skoda Rapid will receive the updated version of the 1.5-liter TDI four-cylinder diesel engine, which made its debut in the VW Ameo. The power output has increased from 105 PS to 110 PS, though the torque remains unchanged at 250 Nm. Transmission options will continue to include a 5-speed manual and 7-speed DSG. A 1.6-liter four-cylinder MPI petrol engine paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox will also be offered.
