Not confirmed for launch in the Indian market.
A Team-BHP member has spotted the Toyota Vios testing in Bengaluru, donning test plates and no camouflage. So far, Toyota Kirloskar Motors has not confirmed plans to launch the Vios in the Indian market.
Instead, reports suggest that TKM will launch an 'emerging market' version of the Toyota Vios in the market, codenamed Etios C. As the codename suggests, the Etios C will be based on the Toyota Etios's platform, which is highly localized in India. Its styling is reported to be heavily inspired by the Vios, similar to the relationship between the Renault Captur and Kaptur.
The manufacturer is currently focusing on further localizing production of the new Fortuner in India, which is expected to arrive before the end of this year or early-2017. It will source its engine lineup from the Toyota Innova Crysta, which gets 2.4- and 2.8-liter diesel engines and a 2.7-liter petrol engine.

In the pipeline, Toyota is also prepping to launch a major facelift for the Etios, which is expected to launch in the coming days. Dubbed as the Platinum Etios, it features a facelifted front-end and revised interior with new features.
