New Toyota Platinum Etios, Etios Liva (facelift) launched

ABS now standard across the Etios range.
After a slew of leaks and spyshots, Toyota Kirloskar Motor have launched the facelifted Toyota Etios sedan and Etios Liva hatchback. The former is now called the Toyota Platinum Etios, while the latter retains the current name.
It will be sold in three grades: G, V and VX. For the Platinum Etios, prices range from INR 6,43,000 to INR 774,000 for the petrol variant and INR 7,56,000 to INR 8,87,000 for the diesel variant (Ex-showroom Mumbai). The facelifted Etios Liva is priced in the range of INR. 5,24,000 to 6,28,000 for the petrol variant and INR 6,61,000 to INR 7,44,000 for the diesel variant (Ex-showroom Mumbai).
The exterior has undergone a comprehensive facelift. Both models feature a V-shaped grille with chrome surrounds (body-colored for Etios Liva), new bumper with larger intakes, as well as round foglamps that sit beside boomerang-shaped chrome accents. At the back, the bumper has been slightly re-profiled and the bootlid of the Platinum Etios has a bolder chrome garnish positioned to the middle. The Etios Liva gets new alloy wheels.
Inside, both models feature a new ‘Optitron’ instrument cluster, dual tone black and ivory dashboard, new ivory fabric seats, power-operated ORVMs, foldable rear bench seat, and a rear armrest. Toyota has also focused on improving its safety standards. It now features ABS as standard across the range, ISOFIX child seat locks, apart from dual airbags.
