No changes expected to the powertrain.
Following yesterday's image leak of the Toyota Etios Liva facelift's front fascia, GaadiWaadi has posted images showing the Toyota Etios facelift and the Liva facelift inside and out. According to reports, the Etios facelift will have its launch on September 13.
Similar to the Brazilian Etios Platinum, the Etios facelift in India gets a redesigned front fascia with a new grille outlined with chrome, a new front bumper with chrome foglight enclosures, new alloy wheels and a re-profiled rear bumper. For the Etios sedan, the bootlid also gets a chrome running strip, and the presence of parking sensors is an indication that new features are in store.
On the inside, the instrument cluster is an all-new unit which looks a massive step ahead from the current Etios's low-cost panel. While the speedometer appears to get a chrome highlight, the tachometer seems to be a digital unit. However, this is still not as advanced as the Brazilian-spec Etios's fully-digital instrument cluster inspired by the Prius.

Also, where the Etios in Brazil got a touchscreen entertainment system, the Indian Etios would carry on the 2-DIN music system albeit with Bluetooth and AUX connectivity. There are no changes expected under the hood either: The Etios sedan offers 1.5-liter petrol and 1.4-liter diesel engines whereas the Liva gets a 1.2-liter petrol or a 1.4-liter diesel engine. A 5-speed manual gearbox is the only transmission on offer.
