Could be unveiled at the EICMA or Intermot shows.
Bikeonline.com.au, an Australian two-wheeler website, shares some interesting information on the long-rumoured Suzuki Gixxer 250 (Suzuki GSX-R250). The publication was told by Suzuki (Motorcycles) Australia’s Marketing Manager, Mr. Lewis Croft, that "official communication" will be announced in October.
"Suzuki Motor Corporation will be unveiling a number of new models at Intermot and EICMA. We are aware of this motorcycle and are currently studying its feasibility in the Australian market", the executive further added.
The report speculates that the Suzuki Gixxer 250 will have its unveiling at either the EICMA 2016 (which starts on November 10) or the Intermot-Cologne (which starts on October 5). Post its unveiling, the Suzuki Gixxer 250 (Suzuki GSX-R250) could launch in international markets later this year, however its Indian launch remains a bit of a question mark. Earlier this year, Mr. Suresh Babu Janarthan, Project Leader for CBU Products at Suzuki Motorcycle India, reportedly said that the company will launch such a product in India “when the time is right”.

The Suzuki Gixxer 250 is expected to borrow the 248 cc liquid-cooled twin-cylinder engine employed from the Suzuki Inazuma 250, which was discontinued in India in March 2015. This unit made 18 kW (24 hp) at 8,500 rpm and 22 Nm of torque at 6,500 rpm, and was mated to a 6-speed transmission.
