Minor differences compared to the Kwid 0.8 variant.
Renault India has conducted the first media drive of the Renault Kwid 1.0 MT today, ahead of its market launch on August 22. Below are images of the Kwid 1.0 sourced from Autocar India.
As one can tell, there are very little differences when compared to the Kwid 0.8 variant currently sold. The only couple of features that the Kwid 1.0 has for differentiation are a black and white chequered decal with a ‘1.0’ lettering on the lower portion of its side profile and silver ORVM caps. Renault does, however, offer a wide variety of accessories for further personalization.
The interior is largely identical to the Kwid 0.8. It will only be sold in RxT and RxT (O) grades, with a 7 inch MEDIANAV touchscreen display, fabric seat upholstery with red inserts, front power windows and an optional driver’s airbag.

The USP of the Kwid 1.0 is under the hood. It is powered by an all new 999 cc three cylinder SCe engine producing 68 PS and 91 Nm. A 5-speed manual is the only gearbox available, while an AMT variant will arrive a short time later. The Kwid 1.0 is claimed to offer a best-in-class power-to-weight ratio of 97 PS/tonne and fuel efficiency of 23.01 km/L.
