Kwid's 1.0L engine produces 68 PS and 91 Nm of torque.
Renault has revealed that the more powerful Renault Kwid 1.0L MT can average a fuel efficiency of 23.01 km/L. It falls short of the Maruti Alto K10, which is capable of 24.07 km/L, but is more fuel efficient than the Hyundai Eon 1L (20.3 km/L).
The Kwid 1.0 is powered by an all new 999 cc three cylinder SCe engine, which produces 68 PS and 91 Nm. A 5-speed manual is the only gearbox available, while an AMT variant will arrive a short time later. Renault claims that the Kwid 1.0 does have the best-in-class power-to-weight ratio, which is rated at 97 PS/tonne.
Compared to its less powerful twin, there are no changes to the exterior of the Renault Kwid 1.0. For certain differentiation, it features a black and white chequered decal with a ‘1.0’ lettering on the lower portion of its side profile and silver ORVM caps.
