As Mitsubishi claims, the styling fuses the toughness of an SUV with the versatility of an MPV. It features the company’s latest ‘Dynamic Shield’ face with sleek headlamps, heavily sculpted wheel bumper and a generous amount of chrome trim. The side profile comprises of boldly sculpted wheel arches and shoulder lines, floating roof with rails, as well as a long greenhouse.
Like any concept, the interior features futuristic elements that will not make it into production. The interior does give an idea of what we can expect in the cabin. Mitsubishi have confirmed that the concept is a 7-seater, claiming that a wide body and an optimized interior layout will ensure generous interior space for seven occupants.
Mitsubishi's new plant in Indonesia will serve as the XM's production hub for export to markets like Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam. They have made a total investment of 600 million USD, where 250 million USD goes into the development of the MPV, while the rest goes into the new Indonesian plant.
