The Mitsubishi XM will be manufactured at a new facility in Indonesia.

Like most of the latest concepts from Mitsubishi, it adopts the company’s latest ‘Dynamic Shield’ face, featuring sleek headlamps, heavily sculpted wheel bumper and a generous amount of chrome trim. The side profile comprises of boldly sculpted wheel arches and shoulder lines, floating roof with rails, as well as a long greenhouse.

Mitsubishi summarizes the XM’s styling as fusing the ”toughness of an SUV with the versatility of an MPV”. As for the interior, they have confirmed that the concept is a 7-seater, claiming that a wide body and an optimized interior layout will ensure generous interior space for seven occupants.

They have made a total investment of 600 million USD, where 250 million USD goes to the development of the MPV, while the rest will be invested into building the new Indonesian plant. It will serve as the XM’s production hub, from where it would be exported to other South East Asian markets like Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam.
