Expected to launch in India in 2017.
A Team-BHP reader has photographed the front fascia of the Mahindra MPV up close at a toll booth on the Ulunderpet expressway (Chennai). Given that the test mule is completely wrapped up, the spyshots don't reveal much of the exterior styling.
The large bug-eyed headlamps seem to feature projector lighting with chrome elements, and the clamshell bonnet is inspired by the Mahindra XUV500. From other angles seen in older spyshots, it looks slightly familiar yet contemporary.
Reports suggest that the Toyota Innova rival is the first project of Mahindra’s North American Technical Centre (MNATC) in Troy, Michigan. As technical details are still scarce, it's unclear if the underlying platform will adopt a monocoque architecture designed around a front-wheel drive drivetrain or a ladder-frame setup.

The MPV's engine lineup could include either its mHawk diesel engine or an all new unit co-developed with Ssangyong. Mahindra is likely to introduce a petrol variant as well, which will feature all-new new 1.5L four cylinder engine set to be introduced soon.
