Will be based on the latest Renault Megane hatchback.
Renault has released the first couple of teasers of the new Renault Megane Sedan, which will make its world debut today. The Megane’s third derivative will replace the Renault Fluence when launched later this year in Europe.
One of the teasers reveals the front-end of the Megane Sedan, which is largely identical to that of the hatchback. It features the new V-Motion grille flanked by sleek headlights with Pure Vision LED illumination and C-shaped LED DRLs.
Patent sketches of the rear-end reveal new LED taillights that extend up to the centrally-placed Diamond logo and a single chrome-finished exhaust tip. It is reported to measure 4,630 mm long, 2,058 mm wide (including ORVMs), 1,443 mm high and has a 2,711 mm long wheelbase.
As with next generation Renault and Nissan products, the new Renault Megane Sedan makes the jump to the more advanced CMF platform from the Megane. Engine lineup will most likely be sourced from the Megane, which includes three TCe petrol motors with maximum power outputs of 100 hp, 130 hp and 205 hp, and three dCi diesel mills that deliver 90 hp, 110 hp and 130 hp.
