Likely to be exclusive to the Chinese market.
Autohome.cn has acquired spyshots of a heavily facelifted Mitsubishi Lancer, which could go on sale later this year. The model is likely to be exclusive to the Chinese market, while other markets will get the international-spec Lancer that received a minor facelift in last October.
Similar to the new Outlander and Pajero Sport, the China-spec Lancer receives the X-shaped family face that bestows a premium yet aggressive look to the front fascia. It features sleek headlights with projector lamps, generous amount of chrome embellishments, foglamps, diamond-effect 5-spoke alloy rims and redesigned taillamps.
Changes inside, however, are minor. It gets a redesigned center console with bright silver inlays, leather upholstery, 3-spoke multi-function steering with gearshift paddles on the column and a small 2-DIN infotainment screen.
