The exterior will largely be identical to the current Bolero, even sharing most of its body panels with the mini Bolero. Its 2,680 mm wheelbase will be unchanged, while Mahindra will shave over 170 mm from both the front and rear overhangs. Our rendering of the mini Bolero above gives an idea of what it could look like.

Inside, the mini Bolero is reported to source the dashboard and trim from the regular Bolero, although the seats could be slightly different to maximize interior space. Like the TUV300 and NuvoSport, the mini Bolero will also have jump seats in the third row. Given that the Bolero has always targeted the rural and commercial markets, don't expect a long list of creature comforts.

Autocar India reports that the sub-4m Bolero will source the 1.5L mHawk three cylinder diesel engine from the TUV300 and NuvoSport. However, Mahindra will reportedly detune the engine to produce 65 hp for maximum fuel efficiency. Regardless, it's still more powerful than the 2.5-litre diesel in the current Bolero.
