Part of GM India's 5-model strategy in the next 24 months.
IndianCarsBikes has photographed the upcoming 2016 Chevrolet Trailblazer (facelift) test mule in India. It's expected to replace the current Trailblazer is confirmed to launch within the next 24 months, though a market introduction this financial year would seem more likely.
The interior has been photographed for the first time, which will look identical to the facelifted Trailblazer that went on sale in Brazil last May. The black cloth covers an all-new dashboard that is claimed to be trimmed with better materials.
As standard, it will come equipped with an 8-inch MyLink infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support, a slightly updated instrument cluster, and silver accents around the central HVAC vents.

The camouflaged exterior offers a hint of the changes up front. Identical to the Brazilian-spec Trailblazer, the model to be introduced in India will feature sleeker headlamps with LED DRLs, wider grille and a more aggressive bumper with larger foglamps. Rest of the exterior appears to look largely similar to the model sold currently.
Under the hood will be the same 2.8-litre Duramax diesel engine producing 200 PS and 500 Nm of torque. A 6-speed automatic transmission is likely to be the only transmission option. A mechanical change to note is the new EPAS (electric steering) system, which should further ease maneuverability in city driving conditions.
