Photographed during a shoot of its commercial, spyshots have revealed the final exterior design of the 2017 Chevrolet Onix Activ ahead of its launch in Brazil, which is reported to take place before the end of this month.
The variant spied is the Onix Activ, which gets black-plastic cladding, roof rails and chunkier tires. Otherwise, the styling will be shared with the 2017 Chevrolet Onix hatchback, featuring the characteristic Chevrolet grille design, redesigned front bumper and updated taillamps.
It will continue offering the engine lineup from the Onix. It includes a 1.0L and 1.4L four cylinder flex fuel engines, which could feature refinements for better fuel efficiency. A 5-speed manual gearbox will be standard in both variants, while the 1.4L variant can be had with a 6-speed automatic.

Another mechanical change reported is an all new electric-assisted power steering system, which replaces the hydraulic unit of the outgoing Onix.
