Will launch in the Indonesian market this year.
The India-made Suzuki Baleno has been spied undisguised in Indonesia for the first time, suggesting that a launch date could be nearing. It will go on sale later this year in the archipelago.
The Maruti Baleno for Indonesia is likely to be offered with the all new 1.0L Boosterjet engine, which produces 110 hp and 170 Nm of torque in the Euro-spec model. It’s unclear if PT Suzuki Indomobil will launch the less powerful 1.2L VVT petrol variant sold in India or the 1.2L Dualjet engine with SHVS featured in the Euro-spec Baleno.
The Baleno spotted in the images seem to be of the top-end variant, as it features chrome-plated door handles with keyless entry buttons, 16 inch alloy wheels, bold chrome bar with integrated parking camera at the back, and a roof spoiler. The Baleno measures 3,995 mm long, 1,500 mm tall, 1,745 mm wide and 2,520 mm in wheelbase.
As for equipment, the India-spec Baleno offers ABS, EBD and dual front airbags, LED daytime running lights, HID headlights, reverse camera, automatic climate control, smart entry with push button start, a 7-inch touchscreen AVN system with Apple CarPlay and steering-mounted audio and phone controls.
