Priced from INR 2,39,500.
Ahead of its official launch on June 7, Datsun's website had listed the starting price of INR 2,39,500 (ex-showroom) for the Datsun redi-GO. It has now been taken down from the website, but luckily somebody had managed to screenshot the leak.
If the starting price is correct, then the Datsun redi-GO will undercut all its rivals in the segment and priced lower than their expected range of between INR 2.5-3.5 Lakhs. It is INR 13,000 cheaper than the entry-level grade of the Renault Kwid, which starts from INR 2.62 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi).
The Kwid shares its CMF-A platform and internals with the Datsun redi-GO, although their exterior and interior are significantly different. The top-end grade will come equipped with LED daytime running lights, front power windows, power steering, a music system with radio/CD/USB/AUX input and an optional driver airbag.

Powering the redi-GO is the Kwid's 0.8-liter petrol engine producing 54 hp at 5,678 rpm and 72 Nm at 4,388 rpm, paired to a 5-speed manual gearbox. The redi-GO is claimed to be the fastest from 0-100 km/h (15.98 seconds) in its segment, and is also one of the most fuel efficient petrol hatchbacks in its segment, as it is capable of an ARAI-rated fuel efficiency of 25.17 km/l.
