First car to roll out will be the Maruti Baleno.
Autocar Professional reports that the second car to roll out of Maruti's new plant in Sanand, Gujarat will be the next generation Maruti Swift Dzire, which is expected to launch in the market in 2018.
The next Swift Dzire is likely to be based on the Maruti Baleno's lightweight platform, which will also be shared with the next gen Swift. Leaked images and renderings of the Swift have revealed the exterior and interior designs that we can expect in its sub-4m sedan sibling.
Details on the engine lineup of the next gen Maruti Swift Dzire are scarce. It could continue with the 1.2 four cylinder K-Series petrol engine, while the diesel variant may get a brand new diesel engine developed by Maruti (Suzuki).
