Goes on sale in Germany in Summer (June-August).
Along with the new generation 2016 Audi A4 L, Audi also displayed the 2016 Audi S4 at Auto China 2016 (2016 Beijing Motor Show). The new generation Audi S4 measures 4,745 mm in length, 1,842 mm (2,022 mm with door mirrors) in width, 1,404 mm in height, and has a wheelbase of 2,825 mm. Thanks to the standard S sport chassis, the S4's ride height is 23 mm lower compared to the A4 base model. This difference remains unchanged for the optional chassis with damper control.
The 2016 Audi S4's bumper, air inlets and side sills feature distinctive contours, and many of its add-on parts are painted in shades of matte grey. Aluminium inlays, aluminium look door mirror housings, dual aluminium cross bars in the Singleframe grille, black honeycomb grille, aluminium diffuser trim and four tailpipes integrated into the rear bumper round up the visual distinctions.
Under the bonnet, Audi has swapped supercharging for turbocharging this time around. There's a newly developed 3.0-litre TFSI turbocharged V6 petrol engine that produces 260 kW (354 hp) and 500 Nm of torque in the S4. Audi says that the new engine has the DNA of the 4.0-litre V8 TFSI engine. Power is sent to the wheels via an 8-speed tiptronic transmission and the quattro all-wheel drive system is standard. 0-100 km/h is clocked in just 4.7 seconds, but the top speed is electronically limited to 250 km/h.
The fuel consumption of the all-new S4 sedan is less than 7.4-litre per 100 km, equating to a fuel economy of over 13.51 km/l in the European driving cycle.
