Not expected before 2017.

Honda is reportedly working on a comprehensive facelift for the Honda Jazz (Honda Fit overseas), which launched in Japan in late 2013 and from there on global markets including India. Based on reports and the design of Honda models that launched recently, IAB's Shoeb R Kalania has created a rendering of the 2017 Honda Jazz (2017 Honda Fit), which is not expected to launch before 2017.

The 2017 Honda Jazz will have a redesigned front end, which is seemingly similar to that of the Honda HR-V in the render. The headlamps could feature LED DRLs and projector headlamps, the front bumper has been redesigned for a sportier look, while the intakes are wider.

Improvements will also be made to the chassis, it is reported, while the facelift is rumored to pack the company’s new 1.0L Turbo engine. Although output figures don't exist, it produced 127 hp and 200 Nm in a Honda Civic prototype. The likely transmission to go with it will be an EarthDreams CVT unit.

The Japanese market gets the hybrid variant which could be tweaked for a higher fuel efficiency on the mid-cycle update. The hybrid's powertrain combines a 1.5L i-VTEC engine with a motor and L-Ion battery back. It sends power to the front wheels via a seven-speed DCT.
