Toyota has launched the all new 2016 Toyota Fortuner in Malaysia for sale. It is available in two variants, 2.7 SRZ AT 4×4 petrol and 2.4 VRZ AT 4×4 turbodiesel, and is priced at RM 186,900 (INR 31.07 Lakhs) and RM 199,900 (INR 33.23 Lakhs) respectively.

In Malaysia, the Toyota Fortuner is available in two variants, 2.7 SRZ AT 4×4 petrol (pictured) and 2.4 VRZ AT 4×4 turbodiesel.

The new Fortuner is 90 mm longer and 15 mm wider, but 15 mm shorter in height as compared to the outgoing model, though engineers have managed to retain the 2,750 mm wheelbase. It features sharp exterior elements characteristic of Toyota's styling, which collectively add a new look to their butch body-on-frame SUV.

The top-end Fortuner 2.7 SRZ is equipped with bi-xenon projector headlights with LED daytime running lights, 18 inch alloy rims, Inside, it gets 8-way power adjustable driver’s seat, auto climate control (front+rear), leather upholstery, chilled glovebox steering-mounted buttons with cruise control, 8 inch touchscreen infotainment system, reverse camera and a start/stop button.

Safety features include A-TRC Traction Control (TRC) system, Down Hill Assist Control (DAC) system, seven airbags (front, side, curtain and driver knee), ABS and brake assist

The new Fortuner will be offered with two engine options to Malaysians: a 2.7L four cylinder petrol engine with Dual VVT-i that outputs 166 PS & 245 Nm and an all new 2.4 GD turbodiesel engine producing 150 PS & 400 Nm. Both are equipped with a 6-speed automatic gearbox and 4WD system.

The new Toyota Fortuner is reported to launch in India this Diwali.
